Reopening of Jubilee Road SME Service Center

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC has refurbished its Jubilee Road SME Service Center as a state-of-the-art modern business center for the convenience and comfort of the customers. Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Varuna Kolamunna and M A Malek Editor of the Daily Azadi inaugurated the venue at Jubilee Road in Chattogram. Bank Donated Oxygen Cylinders to Narayanganj City Corporation

As another CSR activity of Commercial Bankof Ceylon PLC, 10 oxygen Cylinders with flow meters were donated to Narayangonj City Corporation (NCC).

The lifesaving cylinders will be used by the 4 health care centers run by the NCC, to treat Covid 19 patients of the area. These cylinders were handed over by Mr. Kapila Liyanage, Chief Operating Officer of CBC to the Mayor of NCC Mrs. Salina Hayata Ivy and Ward Commissioner Mr. Asit Boron Biswas. Mr. Shakir Khusru, Urmi I Khan, Mr. Shobrata K Roy of the Bank were also present.

Bank Donated Lifesaving Medical Equipment to Mugda Medical College and Hospital

As part of CSR initiative, Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, has donated lifesaving medical equipments - Video Laryngoscopes, High Flow Nasal Canolas, non-rebreathers and CPAP masks for fighting against COVID-19, to the "Mugda Medical College and Hospital."

CBC fetes Dilip Das Gupta for Exemplary Service to Bangladesh Operations

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC recently felicitated Mr Dilip Das Gupta, the Senior General Manager of the Bank’s Bangladesh operations, in appreciation of his exemplary services. An eminent banking professional of high standing, Mr Das Gupta is widely-revered for his contributions to the development of the industry. In 2003 he was made a Knight of the National Order of Merit, France’s highest civilian honour, for his outstanding contributions in the field of international banking. Mr Das Gupta is a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Minority Welfare Trust, a member of the National Executive Committee of the ENT & Head-Neck Cancer Hospital, Dhaka. He has been recognized as a “Sera Kardata” by National Board of Revenue in the year 2018.

The certification was presented to the Bank following an in-depth assessment by SISA that involved achieving over 300 security requirements in the cardholders data environment.
